Ingredients

1-1/2 cup chocolate wafer crumbs 2 tbsps sugar 1/4 butter melted (no substitutes) 2 cups semisweet choc chips 6 egg yolks 1-1/4 cups whipping cream 1 tsp vanilla extract Chocolate Buttercream Frosting: 1/2 cup butter, softened 3 cups icing sugar 3 tbsps baking cocoa 3 to 4 tbsps milk

Method

In a small bowl, combine wafer crumbs and sugar; stir in butter. Press onto the bottom and 1-1/2" up the sides of a greased 9" springform pan. Bake at 350 for 10minutes. Cool on a wire rack. In a microwave or heavy saucepan melt chocolate chips; stir until smooth. Cool. IN a mixing bowl, combine egg yolks, cream and vanilla; beat well. Gradually stir in 1/3 of the cream mixture into melted choc until blended. Gradually stir in remaining cream mix. Pour into crust. Place pan on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 40-45 min or until center is almost set. Cool on wire rack for 10min. Carefully run a knife around edge of pan to loosen; cool 1 hr longer. Refrigerate overnight. For frosting, in a mixing bowl, cream butter. Combine sugar and cocoa; add to butter with enough milk to achieve frosting consistency. Pipe into center of dessert. Refrigerate leftovers. 12-16 servings

Notes

This is a recipe from Taste of Home. It won a grand prize and I want to try it (as of 10/01/06 I haven't) I figure you can't go wrong with anything chocolate.
