Apple Pie Bars

Ingredients

1 pkg (250 g) cream cheese 1 cup softened butter 3.25 cups flour, divided 10 granny smith apples, peeled and sliced 1.25 cups granulated sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 3/4 cup icing sugar 1 tbsp water

Method

Heat over 400 1. Beat cream cheese and butter until well blended, 2. Gradually add 3 cups flour mixing low speed until just blended. 3. Shape into 2 balls. Place 1 ball on large lightly floured sheet of waxed paper and flatten slightly. Cover with second floured sheet of waxed paper. Roll out dough to 15.5 x 10.5 rectangle. Discard top sheet of paper. 4. Spray 15x10x1 inch pan with cooking spray, invert over folled out dough. Flip dough and pan together. Remove wax paper sheet. Gently press dough onto bottom of pan. 5. Toss apples with remaining flour, sugar, cinnamon. Spread on bottom on crust. 6. Roll out remaining dough ball same as the first. Carefully flip dough over apples. Tuck under edges of dough to emclosed apples. Cut slits in crust to vent. 7. Bake 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown. Cool dessert 15 min. Meanwhile mix icing sugar and water. Drizzle glaze over dessert. Cool 30 min before cutting into bars
