Sucre a la Creme

Ingredients

4 cups packed brown sugar 1 cup whipping cream 4 tbsps butter 4 tbsps flour 2 tsps baking powder 1/2 cup nuts (optional)

Method

Mix everything in a deep bowl and microwave on high for 12 minutes mixing every 3 minutes. Using an electric mixer mix for approx 10 minutes on high until thickened and starts to firm up. Place in a greased pan and put in the fridge.

Notes

I have never been able to make sucre a la creme in the tradition french method. This recipe was given to me by a woman I worked with who said it works for "everyone"......and it does....
