Scallops a la Schaller
Ingredients
1 lb bacon, cut in half crosswise
2 lbs small sea scallops
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup dry vermouth
2 tbsps chopped parsley
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
dash or oregano
Method
Wrap 1 bacon piece around each scallop; if necessary secure with wooden toothpick. Place wrapped scallopsin baking dish. Combine olive oil, vemouth, parsley, garlic powder, pepper, onion pwoder and oregano. Pour over scallops. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
Remove scallops from marinade. Arrange on broiler pan. Broil 4" from heat, 7 to 10 minutes or until bacon is brown. Turn over nad brown other side for about 5 min. Remove toothpicks. Arrange on platter line with greens.....

Love scallops that are well done.....don't over cook or they will be like rubber ......
