Shortbread Cookies
Ingredients
1 lb. butter
1/2 cup corn starch
1/2 cup icing sugar
3-1/2 cups flour
Method
350 approx. 7-8 minutes
Cream butter. Sift dry ingredients together. Blend butter and dry ingredients together.
Notes
I make these with a cookie press. You could probably roll them out with icing sugar and cut them out but I have never tried this.
This recipe makes lots of cookies. You would probably have enough if you cut the recipe in half. Watch them while they are baking because you don't want them to get brown.
You can add food coloring to color the cookies. I also put cherries on the top or candies to decorate for the holidays.
